This message was not sent by us. It was actually sent from a computer in Kenya in an attempt to get information. I would not recommend responding to this email in any way.

My spam filter gave it a score of 8.7 so it was sent to my spam folder and I never noticed it. If you are not using our spam filter, I highly recommend it. Also be very suspicious of any email asking for personal information. Especially passwords, bank numbers, etc. If you ever have any reason to question an emails authenticity, feel free to contact us or give the Helpline a call (x6111). We would be happy to take a look at the message. Some times an email will look very authentic and it can be difficult to tell the difference.

We saw about 800 copies of a similar message last week to accounts on cc.usu.edu here at Utah State University. At USU, those login credentials are also useful on our proxy and VPN servers so they are useful to global hackers.
