Posted on April 25th, 2018 by

GusMail now has additional safety features to protect against phishing and malware.  GusMail will display a warning when an email message falls under one of the following conditions:

  • An encrypted attachment is received from an untrusted sender
  • An attachment contains scripts from an untrusted sender
  • A malicious url is identified behind a shortened URL
  • A malicious image is detected under linked images
  • A link is detected that goes to an untrusted domain
  • A similar domain name is being spoofed
  • An employee name is detected as the sender, but the message wasn’t authenticated by our systems
  • A message is sent without authentication (SPF or DKIM) and is trying to spoof our domain

Technology Services encourages all users to migrate their Gustavus email to GusMail in order to take advantage of the several benefits offered by GusMail.  Learn more about migrating to GusMail by visiting the following link.
